AmShield's Claims Process

When you are buying insurance, you probably aren't thinking about what happens if you have to make a claim. The sad reality is you are probably visiting this page because you have to make a claim, whether that's due to a car accident, a severe storm, a fire that damaged your home and maybe even your car, or another situation that may have resulted in a claim.

At AmShield, we know that any claim, even if it's small, is a big deal, so we try to make the claims process as easy as possible to help reduce some of that stress. To start your claim, simply call us at 1-844-AMSHIELD (844-267-4435) and we'll explain what to do. In the meantime, here's what you can expect the process to be:

  1. File your claim. - It's very important that you file your claim as soon as possible after the damage occurs so a Claims Adjuster can contact you to get the process started.
  2. The Claims Adjuster reviews the claim. - To determine coverage and ensure the correct amount is paid, a Claims Adjuster must first review the claim and the terms of your policy. Once coverage is established, the amount of your damages can be determined.
  3. The Claims Adjuster evaluates repair estimates. - At this point, the Claims Adjuster reviews the facts of the case and repair estimates. If you have obtained your own estimates, you can submit those too. You should also submit receipts for any costs you may have incurred that you may be reimbursed for, depending on the terms of your policy. (For example, if you have to have a tree removed from your roof to mitigate further damage.)
  4. - Once the claim has been settled, it can be closed.

We understand having a claim is stressful, and we hope this information about how the process works will help make it easier for you. Thank you for choosing AmShield.
