When Boredom Strikes
Reading Time:
Whether it's a holiday break, spring break or summer vacation, when school is out, at some point you will likely run out of things to keep your kids occupied. Summer camps and trips are helpful, but when those are over, coming up with new and creative activities can be a challenge.
Sit down as a family and discuss things everyone would like to do this summer. Have you already done most of the things on that list? Well there are a few extra ideas that we’ve come up with that are fun and affordable to help fill up the rest of their time off. Take a look at the list below:
- Go for a nature walk
- A DIY craft
- Create a slip n’ slide
- Bake together
- Go on a scavenger hunt
- Host a paint night
- Have a bonfire in the backyard
- Play card games
- Zoom family fun night
- At-home spa day
After being at home with your family for a long period of time, remember it's still important to take time for yourself. That way, you’ll be refreshed and ready to spend the rest of your summer together as a family. You can go to a movie, go play golf, get a manicure and or pedicure with friends, go shopping alone, go fishing, go work out, get a massage and so much more. Even when you run out of things for the kids to do, you will all remember your time together for years to come so make the most of it!
